"Tips To Get Your Business Listed on ChatGPT and other LLMs"

LLMS Are Not Always Up To Date

Search engines are updated continuosly - As we speak, googlebot is surfing the web .. indexing new pages, and refreshing it's index. But LLMS? LLMS are updated periodically, because they have to be trained. As such, LLMS have something called a knowledge cut off date - the date up to which the llm was trained.

For example, here is what happened when I typed "knowledge cut off date" in chatgpt

"The knowledge cutoff date for my training data is September 2021. This means any events, developments, or new information that occurred after that date are outside of my scope. However, I can still try to help with general knowledge or assist with things that don't depend on more recent information!"
It is interesting to note that Sept 2021 was almost 4 years ago! When we're talking about GEO, Generative Engine Optimization, we must keep in mind there could be a LONG lag between the changes we make on our websites, and the results we see in ChatGPT.
